From reading the board I know a lot of you have been really frustrated with phone & online bookings of the new packages. Here's what's happened:
The powers that be at CRO decided to launch the new packages AND a new booking software the SAME DAY. The new software keeps crashing- has almost every day since it began for extended periods. Sometimes it doesn't crash until late in the res process...that's why the CM doesn't say the system is down when they first get your call. Same with the online system, which has never synched well with the CRO system.
Add to this overworked CMs in need of a rest...CMs at the CRO are being REQUIRED to work 60 hour work weeks from Jan. 1 until further notice. So the operator who's being so nice and apologetic may be very very tired, which may explain why they give out so much misinformation. Imagine spending six 10 hour days in front of a computer getting one call after another- of mostly frustrated, angry guests. Not fun.
If you call a travel agent, be aware that the travel agent makes your booking by either calling the CRO or online too.
