Here now. Does anyone know why the security line to get into downtown Disney from DLH is the longest line I have ever seen in all my years going to Disney? It’s 6:15pm.

Could be part of it since DTD is abnormally busy imo. But I did find out that something happened at The Grand that may have funneled people from there to enter DTD over this way

There was a fire alarm evacuation at GCH. It could be that security was holding back additional guests from entering DTD.

We ended up waiting and going a bit later. Instead we went to look at Pixar Hotel since we have never made time for that. We love love the decor, it’s pretty amazing.

Are you back home? If so, how was your vacation?

We are. It was really really good. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you again for all your help with my shopping. Made my morning so much easier knowing exactly where to go and exactly where to look for the elusive ring. We will be back in March. Will look again then.

That's good. Were you able to watch Fantasmic and get to Ogas okay?

Yep! We had a good view for Fantasmic too. The food from Rancho Del Zocalo for the Fantasmic dining was very good, win win on that one.

I saw it from the monorail last night at about the same time. I think folks leave work and head to the parks for a Friday evening out. I used to do that but it was never that busy. Granted this was 17 years ago.

Could be. I think DTD is coming into its own and becoming much more popular.

I think last night may have been because the rain had stopped??
Definitely possible but it was fairly busy all day in the parks. I think it’s just a good Friday night hang for locals. The rain was very light all day. Very Seattle in feel. I even went on Tiana’s since I had my rain jacket and was soggy already. I ended up being in the back and not getting wet so win win! But, I digress. DTD doesn’t require a reservation, though the gate I saw was the ART bus drop of and Toy Story bus entrance. I got in around 12:30 and walked right in. By the evening it was 40 people deep maybe more.

We were in the parks yesterday and I agree, it was pretty crowded for a rainy weekday. Locals are spoiled. We don't get much rain, so even a little mist will keep us away. Plus, last night was 🥶 for locals. We would much rather go on a day like today. :sunny:

That’s exactly why I went! That, and my key expires today. But I got lucky with the weather for sure. I was perfectly comfortable in my jacket. I got on enough rides to feel satisfied, got into trader Sam’s. It was oddly empty in there even at the bar and I had to wait an hour to get in. Whatever.

I’m just a weird Californian who loves Seattle weather.
