We arrived to DCA at noon and got the last FP's for RSR for 930pm. Screaming has had 65 minute waits but keeps breaking down. There are people everywhere! Lol! I kind of thought January might be a little slower but it's the same as when I was here in June and September!

Taking on Disneyland tomorrow! I'm sure it'll be crazy too!!

We're having fun though!!

I didn't expect it to be busy today. I'll be there tomorrow afternoon. We'll see how it goes, especially since it's supposed to rain beginning tomorrow evening.

I didn't either! I can only imagine how bad DL is based on DCA right now!!

Hmm...seems odd for a Jan. maybe it has quite a bit to do with all the closures? That is mostly my figuring.

thanks for the report
depending how the public school calendar works, this is end of semester, at least here in the PNW.

Thought today was end of semester break for a few districts, so folks were predicting heavier than normal crowds for end of January. Crowd prediction calendars seem to agree: Resort 6 (next Friday is 4), DL 4, DCA 7.

Well, the lowest level pass just recently got done with blackout days, so it will be busy for a couple more weeks, die down a little, then pick right backup.

Rain tomorrow night won't really help, but if it rains Wednesday morning, it will drive some of the crowds away that day.

I think someone mentioned this Friday was going to be busy as schools in the area had today off. Friday is bad enough as it is but if local schools are off I can see it being much worse.

Orange Unified School District (not all Orange County, but the City of Orange) didn't have the day off. High schools (4 of them) had a minimum day, but everyone else had a full day.

Maybe it was a different Friday someone mentioned then.

I was at both parks (one park per day, DL twice and DCA once) on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I found that there was short line ups after 6:30pm because of the shows starting. The California screaming ride during the day had a 60min wait during the day but later on it was only 20min. It was good. There were people taking up benches on main Street. People were pushing and shoving. Hyperspace mountain was closed or out of fastpasses. Gah! How about you peeps?

I didn't think it was too bad yesterday, not as empty as I would've liked but not as busy as I expected after reading about some schools being out. We were bummed our RSR FP wasn't until 930. We ended up missing it. Also disappointed we missed CA Screamin - it was going to be YDD's first time since she's finally tall enough and it kept shutting down.

Pushing and shoving? Wow......that's not polite or safe. I haven't seen that myself happen. I have seen adults have meltdowns with Cast Members. Not pleasant. :(
People leaving garbage on the ground, ques etc.
Guests becoming territorial over thier space while waiting for a show. Also not pleasant. Lol

Yes, it's not safe at all. I have seen people blow up at cast members during the shows. Mainly, because they couldn't find a place to watch them. Wowsers! I asked a cast member a question about when the park closes and said thanks. She was surprised! I was shoved and pushed. Also had people with strollers ram into me. I was upset because it was crazy! But I didn't let that spoil my fun. :) Hope you guys have fun!

I have found, over the course of my many trips to Disneyland, that it is always crowded.

No such thing as an off season anymore.

We were pleasantly surprised our last trip that it was not busy at all - but we had a few rainy days that kept the crowds low I guess. If there is no off season any more than I'd hate to be there over the holidays! It must be complete madness.

Keep in mind before our last trip everyone was saying the same thing, no off season anymore, very crowded, no slow days, so we were prepared for crowds. I think that makes all the difference - anyone showing up expecting it to be slow are likely going to be disappointed. However, if you show up expecting it to be busy and it's not bad, then it's a huge bonus!

I was there in May, and it rained about 1/2 the time. It was also chilly. However, even the rain, and the lower temps did not keep the people at home. I have learned how to live/deal/tour with the crowds. I do understand, though how some people cannot deal with the amount of people that have been visiting Disneyland/DCA, on average in a day.

We can handle it when it's "weekend" busy - but we'd never go during the holidays - not when there is a chance the park could close because it reached capacity - that would just be too much for us. Not when we can find other time to go when it's not likely to get that crazy.
