Here Now. Any Questions?

Is there an option for late check-out at Aulani? If so, is there a fee? Will have a later flight and looking to stay at Aulani till 2-3 pm.

A few weeks ago, I was able to get late check out until 1pm. No fee. However, CM's showed up at our door around normal check out time and I had to let them know that I had a confirmed late check out.

Have you noticed any noise from construction at the Four Seasons?
I haven't, but wen I was at the spa there was someone booking something where you get to go to the spa pool area (for my mani and pedi I didn't get to go there.) The woman at the front desk was actually apologizing in advance for the noise. As for the rest of the resort I haven't heard a thing.

Any idea how they are with food allergies? We've got WDW and DCL mastered now, wondering about venturing to Aulani now that we live on the West Coast...

Thanks!

To be honest, I don't know. No one in my party has an allergies. I can ask a cast member if you want. What is the allergy, and the effects?

Spoke too soon. You can hear a little (mostly the sound of the vehicles backing up) and you do hear it more down at the beach. To be honest it's quiet enough to fade into the background. Nothing that would ruin a vacation.

We ate at Makahiki and I had noted on our reservation that my DD had a shellfish allergy. When the hostess seated us she said the chef would be out to walk us through the buffet. He came right out and he and I walked through as he explained about various items. I saw him come out and do the same with a few more families. Not sure about the other restaurants.

Thanks, I was hoping it was like other Disney eating establishments :)

Nothing past 1pm in your room...some may only receive until noon. HOWEVER, there is a lounge next to the Pau Hana room that families may use when they have early arrival/late departure. There is a place for luggage, couches, tvs, showers, etc...you need to ask for access, and will be given a separate card for this area. I read about it last week when we were there. Thought it was cool.

YES

We were in the Iwa tower, so no issues with noise from our room, but they were pouring the pool/patio/etc last week and lots of noise on the beach. You get use to it...but not ideal. Perhaps better though...since the resort shares the same cove, and I couldn't imagine more people swimming/SUPing/Kayaking than were out there...it was busy some days!

Great area I think more places should do this - showered off after pool use and relaxed while logging my luggage waiting for the airport shuttle

We were able to leave our luggage with bell services while we shopped, had lunch, did the Scavenger hunt, and took family photos around the resort with the PP photographers. We checked out at 1:00 and our shuttle pickup was at 6:00.

Do they run an excursion to the Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial? Or would you have to rent a car?
I know that they do have a few excursions around Pearl Harbor, but we didn't book any. Sacrilegious, I know, but we're from Canada, so the significance isn't really there for us to go out of our way to see it this trip. You can only fit in so much.

Have you noticed if the lifeguards at the pool are enforcing the chair saving rules? The way I understand it is that they will monitor chairs for an hour and if no one has been back and belongings have not been moved, they will remove them to free up the chair. I've heard enforcement of this is intermittent, which is concerning because I've also heard lounge chairs are hard to come by. What's your experience been like?
