Hi Everyone,
We have been here since the 19th and have been enjoying a wonderful Christmas trip. Stayed at Wilderness Lodge before moving to our offsite condo. We had the best time at WL! Great place for a Christmas trip!

Being here at Christmas is definitely worth it, crowds and all. It’s been very manageable!! We already booked our condo for next Christmas and are considering a short stay at Fort Wilderness too next year for Christmas. Loved seeing all the decorations the guests set up.

It’s our last week here now and it will be a very cold week! We are a little bummed about the weather, but won’t let it ruin our fun. I’m glad I packed mittens, jackets and scarves because I almost didn’t. We took a day trip to South Beach today just to soak up the last of the warm sun that we will have. We live in CA so this weather is super cold to us!!

However, something exciting about this trip is that I saw a bobcat! We were riding the boat between Disney Springs and POR. It was walking underneath one of the treehouse villas. I was surprised it was so close to the family that was hanging out on their treehouse patio!! It was beautiful and graceful, but I’m glad I wasn’t too close. Anyway, just thought it was neat!

If you have any suggestions of activities to do on cold and rainy days I would love to hear them!

Thanks!!

Glad you are having a great time! Disney during the holidays is amazing, cold weather and all. Hope the rest of your trip is just as great :goodvibes.

Glad your having a great time but remember cold is relative. Here in Kansas City it hit 35 below zero a couple of nights back. We go in June and I am already looking forward to baking.

Do you mean wind chill at 35 below zero?

Cold is cold and it's worse at Disney. Here in Chicago it's cold, but it's January and it's fine. At Disney in October it was much cooler than normal and I hated it!

I want to be wearing shorts and swimming at Disney - next trip we are going in May! :)

You sure about that?
The police rounding up homeless people and parking them in lobbies and libraries. I double checked the actual temp was 19 below wind chill 35 below but it all get me looking forward to June and Florida.

OK, wind chill is always worse. As for actual temps, I'm in the KC metro area and the coldest I saw was 12 below night before last. Maybe your neck of the woods was colder.

Yeah it was 10 below (without a wind chill) in my parts this morning when I went to work...I'd gladly go to Orlando in July at this point.

Yep and my holiday decorations are staying up until Sunday when the temp is supposed to be around 38 F it may be raining but I can handle rain better than this cold. Take care of yourself until this weather breaks,
