Today was our EPCOT EMH morning. DGS has a foot injury, so we could not walk to the TTC from the Poly; we boarded the resort monorail at a few minutes after 7am to transfer to the EPCOT monorail that was headed out at 7:30 am. Long story short, monorail was delayed at the Poly, GF, MK, and CTR. Our journey from the Poly to TTC took over one hour. After security, band scanning, we did not make it into the park until after 8:50am.
it was frustrating to know that EPCOT had actually opened before 8am this morning, and we were sitting on the monorail that was limping along the track. We felt bad for those with breakfast ADRs whose plans were disrupted.
On a positive note, we were able to recover the morning, and the 'refresh' tip really saved the day for us.....absolutely awesome!!! Thankfully we had good weather today, so no storms to deal with. We are back at the resort; exhausted. All I can say is it's a good thing Disney ordered that new monorail. Don't depend on the highway in the sky to get you anywhere on time.
