This is from my trip last August (2002) but I thought with the $20.03 rate coming out again people would like to know. I can't say anything about the bus or the service because I had a car. This is the schedule from the front desk, althoug I think there is a post further down from someone who actually used the system.


Bus schedule for Courtyard at Downtown Disney.

Animal Kingdom: Begins one hour prior to park opening with continuous service every 30 minutes until 11:00 am. 11:00 am -4:00pm service every hour; 4:00pm to park closing every 30 minutes. RETURN FROM AK: 40 minutes past the hour until 3:00pm; after 3:00pm every 30 minutes (i.e. 3:00, 3:30, 4:00 etc)

Magic Kingdom and MGM/Studios: Begins one hour prior to park opening and continues every 30 minutes (i.e. 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, etc) RETURN: quarter hour after each hour and quarter till each hour (6:15, 6:45, &;15, 7:45, etc.) Service continues until 2 hours after park closing

EPCOT: begins at 8:00 am with service every 30 minutes; return: quarter hour after each hour and quarter till each hour (9:15, 9:30, 9:45, ETC) Service continues until 2 hours after park closing

Pleasure Island: Runs 6:00PM - 3:00AM every 30 minutes

Water Parks: Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon: Departs: 8:45, 9:45 and 1:45 from hotel; RETURNS: BB: 2:15, 5:15, 7:15pm; TL: 2:30pm, 5:30pm, 7:45pm

We used this service on our recent stay and found it worked well for us. I was pleased to find that on the e-nights we did that the last bus from the TTC left at 2:00 am (1 hour after park closing).
The AK bus was slightly different than the one printed here. It ran every 30 mins until 9:00am instead of 11:00 am.

Do each of the DTD hotels have their own bus or do they still share? If so, which hotels do they share with? I'm particularly interested in the Hilton but if you only know about the CY I'll file that away for a later time. Thanks!

I think they share because other posters have mentioned if you miss the Cy just cross the street and catch it at the Grosvner.

Just a word of warning. Just because the schedule states the buses come every 20-30 minutes does not mean this is the case. The buses also drop you off and pick you up in the middle of large bus parking lots. It also picks up at several more hotels after the Courtyard and they will pack as many people as will fit on a bus on so you have people falling all over each other going to the parsk. The courtyard is an okay hotel however I would suggest taking the Disney buses located at DTD to the TTC and transfering from there.

Be advised that I have read that Downtown Disney Buses only transport people to the TTC and not the individual Theme Parks. You then have to change buses (or board the monorail) at the TTC which takes time. It is for this reason that i am renting a car for my trip in Sept 03.
