I already told you about MK on day one .......so on to our next adventure.
On Friday we did EC. It was never crowded......at all. We did all of FW and the kids rode TT AND MS a few times. I never did MS that day. I ended up doing it our last night on Tuesday AND HATED THAT RIDE. Never again will I ride that. UGH. Anyway..we did the late lunch in Mexico..would probably not eat there again. IT was just okay..not worth the money for the food. IT was so dark we could barely see the menus. LOL We got the counter service outside for dinner that Tuesday night and loved that. We usually eat that each trip. We walked around the countries...I got some choc. mousse in France.........YUMMY. Then we decided to head back to the hotel around 7:00 and not do Spectro...plus it was rainy a bit this day.....both in the morning and the evening. WE were able to get right on everything in FW..basically a no wait day.
Sat. we hit MGM all day and night. WE did TOT and the kids and hubby did RR....we did pretty much everything this first day but Back Lot Tour and a couple of others. The crowds were low again....and it was a nice day. We ended up getting pizza from Pizza Planet that night. It was pretty good. We waited too long to get to Fantasmic this night...so we ended up sitting way over on the very left side but towards the front. I would rather see it more in the middle. But a great show nontheless. IT was good.
OH we didn't think Sci Fi was worth the money ate there for lunch.......would probably not go there again. But we did do Prime Time for dinner Monday. IT was VERY GOOD. Loved it. Greg did too. WE went to AK that day...and then went to MGM that afternoon/evening. Didn't do Fantasmic because we did it on Sat. I ended up doing ROCK AND ROLL that night. UGH. I have to say it wasn't as bad as the very first time I did it back in 2002. Anyway....I needed to pee and had just eaten but I went anyway...because it was 7:00 and they were getting ready to close. So I was glad I didnt' chicken out.
Sunday we did MK til 2:00....got a lot in...but it was crowded around noonish then hit the room until about 6:00 then we headed back to MK to catch the boat to Fort Wildnerness for dinner at Trails End. IT was pretty goood......it was real food and we were tired of counter service fast food. Then we took the boat back to the Contemp. and then monorail to the Poly. Here we watched the water pagent parade from their beach.
Mon. we went to AK til about 2:300....stayed too long..should have left long before that so we had more time at MGM. By the time we go to MGM....we only had time to see the parade, do the Backlot Tour, let the kids play in Honey I Shrunk playground....eat at Prime Time and do R and R and I don't think they did TOT that night. AK was dead in the morning. WE rode the Triceratops twice, the whirl ride twice...I did it twice the kids stayed on for a third and then did it again with Greg. THey rode the Dinosaur ride with Greg first then I did it with them. WE just walked right on. Then the car in front of us broke down right when you come in to get out...and we hit the car in front of us. We were stuck in our car for about 15 min. They stopped the ride from our side and directed everyone else to the other side and started up that side. Finally we got out and they asked us if we wanted to ride again..we said no.....and then gave us a fast pass to use anytime that day. WE never used it..gave it away. After all of this we ate at the Flame Tree...it was very good. THen we did the Safari ride, Lion King show, Bugs Life, Flights of Wonder and called it a day. WE headed to MGM. WE did the Back Lot Tour, Honey I Shrunk playground, saw the afternoon parade too. WE had dinner at Prime Time..LOVED IT....BEST MEAL AT MGM SO FAR. Then we did RR. Then for a brief moment after MGM....we were going to go to EC and just see Illuminations..but on the bus we all got relaxed and decided we were tired so we went back to the hotel. LOL
Okay our last day we went to Chef Mickeys for a 10:10 PS but got there at 9:30 and they took us right then GREAT FOOD...BEST CHARACTERS....LOVED IT. We did this years ago for breakfast..and we did it for dinner back in 2002. .... Then .we went to MK this was the best and lowest crowd day. Even though we didnt' get in until 11:00 we did pretty much everything we wanted too.....stayed until about 7:00. We fast passed stuff and pretty much did it all. THe kids and I got soaked on Splash...I mean soaked. That was no fun...it was only in the low 60's that day. UGH Then our night turned bad..........LOL We headed to EC for the EMH night. WE made our first mistake by NOT GOING STRAIGHT TO THE COUNTRIES WHEN WE GOT THERE AROUND 7:45.....we ended up doing Spaceship Earth, MS ...greg and the kids.........then they talked me into it. UGH I HATED THAT. We wasted time switching off for that because my 6 year old wouldn't ride it. By the time we got to the showcase it was 5 min. til 9:00...we didnt' get a good spot for Illuminations. UGH....then we thought all of the showcase would be opened for the late night..WRONG. We got food at the counter service in Mexico..rode the boat in Norway..and then came out and found the other countries were all closed except Norway and Mexico. SO we rode the boat in Mexico then.....headed back to FW....they did MS again...Test Track was broken...kids were peeved. The shops were all closed.........kids were peeved. I found the one shop as you go out past SE open...so we met in there..finished shopping and headed home. I Thought the whole EMH there wasn't worth staying up that late. At that time of year..you can get enough done by 9:00. By the time we took the monorail to TTC it was 11:40...OMG..THEN THE BUS FROM SHADES OF GREEN...NEVER CAME. THere were 20 people waiting and one lady called the hotel..they had no idea why it wasn't there. SO we took the monorail to the Poly and we all walked back.........about 10 min. WE got to the hotel at 12:40. By the time we took showers and got to bed it was almost 2:00. NOT WHAT I HAD PLANNED FOR OUR LAST NIGHT THERE. UGH We all filed complaints with the hotel.......apparently the bus for SOG is contracted differently than the Disney Buses. I felt like DEATH the next morning with not much sleep...and also being sick WITH A COLD. I pretty much slept on the flight home. UGH
WE had a great trip...the crowd levels were great...kind of spoils you....because if you have to go at a different time of year...you will always remember how the Jan. trip was so easy to get on rides. The Shades of Green is very nice....well worth staying there...although the lack of Disney Theming was missed.....but it was easy to walk to the Poly and take the monorail. The rooms were huge and the stay was perfect except for the bus thing the last night.
NOW I AM SAD WE ARE HOME. I love Disney. BOOHOOOOO
