Ok we are a few days out from making our ADR. Sat down with wife and worked on a gameplan.

Family of 5, Me, DW, 3 DS (10,9,4) we are on the free DDP, and upgraded to the 2nd level, So we get the 1 TS, 1 QS and 2 Snacks daily

Arrive Saturday the 27th of July, gonna hangout a the resort and go to downtown Disney for dinner

Rainforest Cafe at 6:00-6:30 ish We have been before, its decent not our favorite but the kids dont remember it and they arent that big into dinosaurs.

Sunday 28th- Magic Kingdom Rope drop gonna go until about 1:00-1:30 hit Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, then back to hotel to relax until around 5:00 then back to close the park

Monday 29th- Epcot Rope drop (or close to it) Garden Grill for lunch around 1:00, back to room to relax, unsure of evening plans. We dont think we will spend all day in Epcot and wont be doing world showcase.

Tuesday 30th- HS Rope Drop Going todo HS until about 2 and do Mama Melrose for Fantasmic package, then go back to room after lunch. Come back and close HS

Wednesday 31st- AK Tusker House breakfast as early as possible. Will do a QS lunch somewhere in park, and most likely stay till late in the evening then just go back to the room early for the night.

Thursday 1st- LAST park day, Rope drop HS, reride TSM, SDD, RNR, then jump to MK around lunchtime. Eat a QS lunch somewhere at MK. Will close the day at MK no break planned,.

Friday 2nd- Wake up check out head to Whispering Canyon for breakfast then hit the road.

We are trying the avoid the crowds with the EMH on most of our days, I know it seems odd to do that, but we are hoping by going away from the masses it helps some. Thoughts ideas suggestions? Thanks

Just two:

Why eat at Rainforest if it's not your favorite? There are a lot of choices at Disney Springs. The QS choices have gotten MUCH better, so you could save that TS credit for Thursday the 1st to give you a break midday to recharge for your late night.

Early Tusker breakfast. If you're doing this to try to get a jump on FoP, it won't work. You'll be behind the huge crowd already riding and in line. If you're not trying to do FoP, then you'll be fine.

I agree with sharonabe about skipping Rainforest Cafe if it is not a favorite of yours and just do a QS. I would then use that TS for a Thursday evening meal. You may want to try to get an ADR at 'Ohana or Chef Mickey's. Both would be great choices for a fun way to end your family vacation.

Rainforest is more for the kids, they seem really excited from the videos about it.

No we arent doing Tusker for FOP, we are doing it because my wife wants to do the safari first thing and then we are gonna rider swap on EE. plan on FP for FOP but if we dont get FP we are willing to not do it all. we wont be waiting more than 2 hours on it. ive heard its amazing but its not going to make or break our trip,

Thanks for the replies so far

Oh, I guess I read your original message wrong then. I did not think the kids were interested in going to it. Seeing the ages of your kids, I do think they might enjoy the theme. Have fun.
As with many of the Disney Springs restaurants, there are other locations of the Rainforest Cafe in other cities. I know there is one in the Chicago area, so we plan to go eat there someday since it is closer to home and then we can pick another restaurant while at Disney.

For TH brft, if you can get earliest PPO (like 8am for 9am opening) it works well for Safari, but with hours sometimes changing lately only a few weeks out, and therefore possibly negating PPO meals, we have switched to doing late TH brft around 10:30. It still allows you to use RD to take advantage of first few hours with short lines during cooler time. You can also get a chance to try some lunch food if you like when they start to switch over around 11. Since you are staying till evening, you can then use QS for early dinner. We make our FP for 12-2 during hotter busier time, then try for 4th after that

I also like Tusker House breakfast at 10:30. You can get a few things in early and then do a late breakfast while they switch out lunch. You can try the very good lunch foods for the price of breakfast.
