Arrive on a sunday - just hang out at CBR hotel - swim /park etc

Monday - 8/28 - spend day at Epcot go to early dnr at Garden grill then sleep

Tuesday 8/29 - spend day at animal kingdom

Wednesday - spend day at MK - stay till whenever the kids had enough!

Thursday - REST DAY - sleep in - pool etc - unless they are dying to hit a park for a couple of hours.

Friday - MGM all day - stay for fireworks

Saturday - back to MK for the day or maybe epcot- have dnr at Chef Mickeys

Sunday - Probably MK and anypark they just loved - see fireworks either mk or epcot

Monday - Memorial day - home

i think we'll just wing the rest of the meals - those days we are there are a 6!

what do you think of our schedule?

thinking of bringing two umbrella strollers

disney is hot and humdity in August.

With a 4year old - I would go early - then when the parks gets too darn hot for him to handle - around 11am - go back to the resort -and let him rest and swim - then go back that afternoon - early evening - when it is cooler...

take a backpack with you and have water - frozen water bottles if possible.... bring lots of sunscreen....and kept putting in on your kids - every 2 hours at the latest...

I agree with PP about keeping everyone hydrated and lots of sunsreen!
Here in FL it can get soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot! But, also be prepared for the unexpected Florida rain showers! Keep a watch on the skies and a look out for places to take cover if it looks like a shower is on its way!

The only other thing that I would say is that you may want to make a few more reservations. It will be busy in august and will be hard to get into a sit down restaurant without a wait...and with 2 kids....I would rather be on the safe side!! You can make the reservation and if you change your mind you can always cancel, just check when you make reservations as they have different policies. Also, you will get tired of all of the counter service meals after a couple of days!

Other than that, everything looks great! Have fun!

I would consider a few more PS as well. YOu can always cancel them. Maybe make one or two for lunch? Lunch is cheaper, and then you are guaranteed an hour or so in air conditioning.

Also, be prepared to possibly need an afternoon break from the heat back at the hotel. I dont know where you are from, but it gets warm down there!

I would get to the parks first thing in the am before the heat comes. If you take an afternoon break, you can just stay in the parks later at night, as it cools down more then as well.

Take water bottles. I have also heard of freezing washclothes and bringin them in the parks in baggies for a cool break.
