To all newbies like myself,
We just bought our points at VWL and SS this winter, 630 to be exact. I was being frugal and wanted a studio at VWL this trip, but had to move to a one bedroom mid week because no studio available. So, here I am in VWL, moved in the 3rd, and to one bedroom yesterday the 7th to the 13th. WOW, what a difference in the one bedroom.
The studio is similar to a room at a deluxe - just like the WL room except there is a little kitchenette. The one bedroom is HUGE!!!, I would guess almost 3 times as big. There is a nice dining table with 4 chairs and a high chair, a large living room with pull out sofa, nice kitchen, plenty of room for little ones to play, a king size bed in bedroom, huge area with the most wonderful jacuzzi tub which is to die for at the end of a day in the parks, large vanity and sink, and then a separate room with commode and stall shower! We are on the 5th floor (top) at VWL, in a corner room. The front faces the quiet pool and lake, with two lovely windows, then the corner has an open patio with view of pool and lodge, then another large window next to that, and the bedroom has a loft ceiling and a patio off the bedroom. This patio has the "wall" that is about 3 feet high, but lovely view and seating. I am so impressed with this. I doubt I will want to ever stay in a studio again.
Can't wait to get over to SS to see the rooms there. They are open 2-5 for members to tour. According to my pamphlet, the Boardwalk has model rooms open too.
I wish I had made the decision years ago to join rather than dumping all that money in WL, POR, AKL etc 4 weeks a year. But, better late than never!
We are staying in 2 bedroom villas in October when we bring the grandbabies and I think it will be awesome!
Just love Disney and having the time of my life!
