I added day 2 to the day 1 thread thinking i could edit the title but cant so i have started again.
Early rise today for EMH and good morning fantasyland breakfast. It was a bit rainy but no problem as we have our lovely Asda rain ponchos which we whipped out. We looked like a group of jelly tots! We made it to the park about 8.30 . We managed 5 rides straight on ,we couldnt believe it, 5 rides in 45 mins!!
We had a 9.15 slot at au chalet de la marionette which was a perfect time as we had really worked up an appetite and we wolfed down cereal, fruited toast, yoghurt and fruit juice. Breakfast was nice there, with a little more selection than at the hotel and it was overall a great experience. We dashed across to IASW at 10 to find it wasnt gonna be open till 11. The rain was pouring by now so we dodged the puddles and went towards main street shops for cover. We detoured through Liberty Arcade, which was a new experience for us, been 3 times before but never walked down discovery or liberty arcade. Here we stumbled across mickey and minnie doing a meet and greet, so we whiped off our jelly tot ponchos and stood inline for autographs and pictures.
By the time we reached the end of the shop row the rain had stopped and Mary Poppins show was just starting. We got a good spot to watch and couldnt resist singing along to some of the songs. The girls got autographs from mary, bert and one of the penguins, they were starting to get quite a collection by now. Flagging a bit now we got a quick bite to eat and popped back to the hotel for a rest and to put on dry shoes.
We were beginning to feel lucky as the weather was a bit finer now and we got back to the park intime for a quick ride on IASW and the parade. We knew where we wanted to watch from and so headed through the castle but got side tracked and tempted into the christmas shop.only to then find the castle entrance blocked off, it was only just half 3 and we expected to get through to the stone seats. Thi became a common pattern for our parade dash. So after going back the other way we got a great spot on the stone seats near the castle stage. Sitting down with a cappuccino/hot chocolate and watch in comfort we decided was the best way. Got some good pictures from here too as you get the floats coming towards you with no obstructions and nobody pushing and sticking there cameras infront of you.
The mad hatter stopped and stroked Phoebes pluto hat and captain Hook sneaked up behind the girls to give them a fright. They always seem to attract the baddies!
When the floats stopped King Louie and Balou were dancing right at the side of us but we could only offer them a quick glance as we had a fantastic view of the princesses dancing just by the pink towers.
When the parade had ended we took advantage of the short queues and popped into Adventureland and ticked a few more rides off our
list. With hungry bellies, Annettes was calling around 5.30 ( we have heard a lot of good things about Annettes but its always so busy we never managed to eat there before) Being nice and early we got seated straight away into a snug booth upstairs.
There was a really nice vibe in here and the kids loved the skating waiters, especially watching them coming up and down the stairs with full trays. Feeling very very full and weary we took the nice walk back to the Santa Fe, of course via the shops! All tucked up in bed watching Hannah Montanna by 9.30, but we really needed the early night zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
