Any questions?

:goodvibes

No, but hope you have a wonderful time. It is the only Disney resort besides CSR that we want to stay at. We hope in the next couple of years to try it (after we are done paying college tuitions). Please just continue to let us know how the trip goes and share your pictures. Thanks. :goodvibes

What room number and savannah are you on? We will be there in June and I am just starting to "research" what rooms and trails are best. Any suggestions? Have a great time!

I hope you have a grand and magical time:) It's quite cold here--14 degrees...actually...so enjoy your special time:)

ok, I posted on the "other" thread...I didnt see this one!!!!

Only ONE animal???? lol j/k

Waiting for more pics:) How abt one from Victoria Falls? They make a mean margarita there, "ericrita"...Eric makes them! lol

Hope you had fun at MK!

It's kind of cold here too! Sweatshirts, coats, and no swimming. :sad2: I'll post more tomorrow when DH wakes up.

We are in room 5421 off of the Kudo trail. We can see the Arusha savanna. The giraffes, zebras, and ankole are here.

DB '03 - I have a pic of the back of the bar, does that count? LOL

MK wasn't too crowded, if it weren't for the fact that it was so cold, DH actually wanted to hang out there and explore last night. Who would've thunk it!! The crowds were on the level with the week before Labor Day. It's a lot more crowded than I thought.

The massages were awesome BTW. I've never had one, and can see why people want them LOL

This resort is so beautiful! I have taken a ton of pics, and can't wait to post more tomorrow!

I don 't know whether to :cool1: or :sad1: I miss AKL!!
Thank you SO much for the pics. They're awesome :thumbsup2 Have a great time. Hope it warms up soon!

Still cold out, a little warmer today. Still no swimming though. This morning there was Greater Kudo, the giraffe, and a zebra hanging out outside of the balcony. Too cool! Now I know why everyone tries for a savanna view room here. :goodvibes

I really love AKL. I feel a DVC add-on coming on! :)

How are the busses? I really want to stay here, but I'm so afraid of the distance and transportation...

Enjoy your trip. Can't wait for a full report!!

The buses are awesome here. They always run on time, or early. When the parks close then they are on schedule, and you will have a little bit of a wait (10 minute wait at EPCOT tonight). It really isn't far from everything, it's close to BB, not too far from DHS and EPCOT. The longest ride is to MK. I like the buses here better than at WL or POFQ/POR. The buses are way better than at POP.

You just have to plan extra time for rope drops, ADR's or anything else just like you have to do when you stay at any resort. Try it out sometime - or just have a meal here to check out the transportation yourself. :goodvibes

Thanks for the info on the busses. It's been worrying me. Actually, we haven't been on a WDW bus since 1995 -- after that trip we used our rental car rather than get on those busses. Now that we're at AKL and wont have a car, it's nice to hear they are working well for your trip.

Hope you're having another great day at AKL!:)

We are planning to stay there in our next trip for the first time. My kids will definitely enjoy the views. :thumbsup2 I can't wait. :rotfl:

Aren't they great? I get one every three months at home and always get one while at Disney.

It was my first massage. Now I know why everyone loves them so much! I'm planning on getting some more massages now that I know how great they are. :cloud9:

Thank you! Even though the parks have been crazy crowded, the buses have been running very well. The only blip was at DTD on the way back, but for me that's normal! DH hates the buses. He thinks it's a waste of time. ;)

Oh, you'll love it! The views are really wonderful, and it is nice to have a savanna view room. :goodvibes

Headed home tomorrow. :sad1: It was a nice trip, albeit a little stressful! I'm going to have to do up a little trip report - some of it was good and some was bad. I also have pics of the online check in desk, the front of T-Rex (if they turned out) and new pics of BLT.

See you on Friday night! :)

Hi

Can't wait for your report!

Do you know what was going on at AKL? I read on another post it was closed to the public and there where alot of security guards around. THX.
