Here are what the new HNY rooms will look like

I'm not sure that I like it that much. I think it looks very conference like (I know that that might be part of the aim) and a bit dull. Maybe it's just the photos? I've not stayed at HNY and I did want to, but I think I'd choose Sequoia over it if it had this decor.

Oooo I like it....very modern and grownup looking....New York chic :) I particularly like the bathroom ;)

Hmmmm can see myself lounging in the sofa too....might just have to book a trip when it's complete too :dance3:

Interesting....not sure if I like it or not. I'm going to miss the Empire State lights that I love - I wonder if i'll be able to buy one when they start ripping my lovely hotel to bits ;)

Loving the new look rooms especially the bathroom. The rooms fit very well with Manhattan

I'm a bit disappointed! These rooms look like every boring hotel i've stayed in on business trips - which, as you say, might be the point to "appeal" to conference crowds. But I think it's a real shame to lose the colour and Disney touches. They shouldn't assume that business crowds just want generic rooms!

Hi, I see your going to the Cheyene and have been before, we are planning a trip there also in March (19th).

Can I ask what the Cheyene is like? we've stayed sequoia and New York a few times but now with 2 kids and a big age gap, bed sharing is a no go, so the bunk beds are a great idea at the Cheyene. Or, as we might drive we could take a fold away bed and do the new York!! but for the price difference of £300, might stick with the Cheyene!

Thanks for any info you can give.

Credit to Ruth (Donald Duck's Wife) for this find - I said I'd stick it up as I didn't see a thread on here about it.

I really like the new look rooms. I will have to book a stay and check it out when it is all completed.

What do you all think?

I was just wondering the same thing, have to keep an eye out on Ebay :)

I do like the carpet in the corridors though :)

Hi Nicnic
We weren't impressed on our last trip, our room was filthy and badly in need of refurbishment but most people seem to love it so we are giving it another go. The outside theming is my favourite, the restaurant is my favourite and the bar is great too so it has loads going for it. I am just hoping we get a room which is in better shape!

I LOVE them. They have an "adult" feel about them and definitely will worth the four star plus rating it'll get when it re-opens. I personally feel there should be rooms/hotel more aimed at those wanting a romantic getaway without their kids ;-)

Thank you for you reply. We're also Looking at the SL but in one of the outer lodges. Not sure what there like!

Well all the SQL rooms have been recently renovated in a lovely Bambi theme and the swimming pool is located in the lodges. I've only stayed in the main building but it is a lovely hotel. My advice is do what best fits your budget. Happy planning :goodvibes
