I just want to thank everyone here for all your ideas. We are going to WDW the last week in January, so I am starting to get some of my outfits together. Here is the dress I made for my 7 month old DD, and 1 of the shirts I made for us to match.

LOVE the retro fabric! I got some at Joanne's for our upcoming cruise, but didn't think of making a Mickey on a t-shirt (like your pix). Mind sharing how you did it? Did you have a pattern? thanks!!

It was very easy! I just found a pattern on these boards and used it to cut out the mickey head pattern. I used the HeadBond fabric adhesive to iron it onto the shirt. It was that simple. Hope this helps!

I'm not a sewing person but that shirt is adorable, and sounds like even I could make it! Did you have to do anything to the cut edges to keep them from fraying, or does the bonding stuff take care of that?

We'll be there the last week of Jan. too! Where are you staying? We will keep an eye out for those shirts!!

I have not done anything to the edges yet. I did not see any need to do so. I will probably just use some fabric paint to draw around the edges to keep it from fraying when washed.

I am going to make a pair of pink pants to go with the dress for my daughter also. I think I am going to use some of the leftover fabric to make some ruffles on the ankles of the pants.

We are staying at POR. That is really cool that you guys will be there too. I have also started a pre trip report. We are really excited! 2 weeks to go!!
