I never tried it but my friend told me today its very good. I have about 20 lbs to lose watch what i eat and go to the gym, but these last 20 are very difficult. She said it doesnt make you jittery either. Anyone tried it? thanks!

A friend of ours sells it after he used it and lost a significant amount of weight. It made me curious too.
I am sure some will come on here though and tell us how it's the pyramid sales and that's bad:rotfl: I kind of was put off by that too:laughing:

Not much help!! Sorry!!

thank you! My friend who tried it said she bought it online but not from a distributor. she said she didnt want to be pushed into buying more if she didnt like it. She said she bought it on ebay! I had tried a case of slim fast from BJ's but the last time i bought it they recalled it because of bacteria. it worked for me and im looking for a similar shake that i have can for breakfast and lunch. am going to GNC tomorrow also to check out what they have. i dont want anything with guarna or ma huang in it. want to keep an eye on my blood pressure.

DH lost a ton of weight on herbal life right before we met in 2002. He actually ended up selling it (only to himself) because it was cheaper that way :lmao:

I have a friend that used it-lost around 30 lbs...then the maker dropped dead-she quickly stopped & started regular exercise-kept the weight off. I honestly wish I could say it's a good thing but I don't think it is...JMO

That's funny because I am watching a few lots of herbalife on ebay now. SHHH though it's a secret from the person who sells it:lmao:

YIKES:scared1: Wonder if it was related? Didn't the founder of another diet (maybe atkins) ed up having a fatal heart attack as well?

I use it as part of my "meal replacement" smoothies that I make for myself, although I'm not actually replacing a meal with it. Sometimes it's my mid-morning snack - only 3 WW points. I also buy mine on Ebay. Just be careful of a couple things - expiration dates and size. If you buy the shake mix like I do, there are two sizes - I think 550 ml and 750 ml. Know which size you are buying to be sure you are getting a good deal.

As far as it behing healthy or safe, I don't know anything for sure, but I definitely have never felt any negative effects from it, and I am very sensitive to things like diet pills or too much caffeine. Also, I attended a health/nutrition training session provided through work, and I specifically asked about Herbalife products, and while the trainer stated that of course he could not "endorse" any weight-loss product, the one thing he could say was that Herbalife uses whole foods in their products, and he considered that to be a good thing.

I did this as well. Unfortunately, once you stop the shakes the weight magically appears. Go figure. :confused3 :lmao: Apparently you need to change your eating habits permanently. Who knew?? :confused3 :goodvibes :lmao:

What a blast from the past! When I was a senior in HS, I begged my parents to buy this for me. It was SO gross, and one of the pills was a diuretic, and I was running to the bathroom all day. I promised them I would lose the 15 pounds on my own, provided they didn't make me drink those gross shakes anymore. It worked - I lost the weight on my own. It was such a HUGE incentive!

After having kids I have struggled with my weight-but even as a teen I was always aware of it-just became tougher after kids....I also have high blood pressure-major family history there...and after talking to my doctor & many so called diets later-we have come to the conclusion that those don't work & they are not always healthy for us. The best way to lose weught is to change your eating -lifestyle and exercise....for some of us, it's difficult but that's the way to keep it off and stay healthy!

What is it, meal replacement like Slimfast? I don't understand that....if you're going to replace a meal with something lighter, just eat lighter food not some unknown chemical concoction. Eat a salad, at least you can crunch it. Just MHO, for what it's worth. Good luck either way.

Like Oprah says, "Don't you think if there was a magic pill or a quick fix I would have found it by now?" ;) If one of the richest, most influential women in America can't find it what makes us think we can?

I used to love the slim fast as a meal replacement but am afraid of trying it again after the recall. All i need is to start losing weight again, then im good on my own. but im stuck at this same 20 lbs i cant get rid of. am eating smaller meals, watching the carbs, and excersize 3 times a week. i just realized today i havent been drinking enough water though and that definetly helps.

Have you tried adding ten mins to each workout or adding an extra day? I know from experience that sometimes eating smaller meals are enough, you actually have to portion them out and count them up to see what you're doing. Ultimately you need to create a 500 calorie deficit a day to lose a pound in a week. HTH

Herbal life used to have ephedra in it...I don't believe it does any longer. I also don't think it is as effective as it previously was for that reason. The ephedra is what would curb your appetite.

Like someone else said, losing weight is about lifestyle, not a program that you go on...I don't know if we will ever really learn that as a society as long as there are products out there that disguise what healthy eating really is.

I think thats what i need to do. my body is probably so used to the 45 minutes of the elliptical 3 times a week that i just need a change. thanks!
