I love herbs and although I don't really have a garden set aside exclusively for herbs, I usually pot a few and put a few in among the perennials.....

I usually grow....

basil
rosemary
thyme
oregano
parsley
lavender (is that an herb? Not sure...but I love it!)

Do you grow herbs? Do you use them in your cooking?

I haven't in the past, Gina, but I would like to grow an indoor herb garden in our garden window. Have't gotten that far yet though! I have a friend who has a HUGE herb garden as part of her landscaping. It's wonderful!

i like them and also plant among perenials. Some in the ground, some in pots. Rosemary I like around chairs - it smells so great. Creeping thyme too. Lavender is in the garden as well as by the front door. I usually plant basil, oregeno, chamomile, and a couple others I can't seem to think of right now.

i'm going to have to start coming to this board more because I'm totally ready for Spring!

We have-
*Cilantro
*Mint
*Thai Basil
*Oregano
*Thyme

My husband uses the herbs in some of his cooking, we give the mint to our friend for their restaurant, and as for myself, I rarely use them.

Welcome Poohtown, we're happy to have you join us! :flower3:

Almost every year we do basil, rosemary, thyme and oregano. :)

when I have a garden - some times I am so lazy - I have catnip, basil, mint, garlic, thyme in it - all are easy to grow.

I planted parsley for the butterflies in my butterfly garden. It grew so well I decide to harvest some of it and put it in my dehydrator. It was so easy and turned out so well that I put them in plastic baggies with a cut label and gave them as guest favors. I may be expanding on that idea this year to use for coworker Christmas gifts.

I have mother of thyme between the stepping stones of my walk way. Actually I step on it on purpose because I like the fragrance so well.

I also put three baby lavender plants in this past year. They got to be about 8 inches tall. I am hoping they will take off this year and that I will be able to harvest some of it.

I was late planting my pots this pasts year and I ended up with a mixed herb pot that I put next to a wicker chair. It was really a nice addition. I plan on doing it again this year,
