I am always looking for neat products to make life in the RV a little easier, so I thought I would share some and maybe get some ideas from other RVers out there. So here is my RV product of the month:

If you are plagued by mildew like stains around the gaskets of your RV windows, I picked up a slick product at my RV supply store called Insta Gone Multi Purpose Stain Remover. It comes with a spray bottle and two packets of concentrate. Mix one packet with 22 ounces of warm water. I used a rag to control where the stuff went and applied it to the stained gaskets - it took maybe an hour, but the stains disappeared. Some particularly heavy stains are still there, but I plan on applying more tomorrow. Once it is mixed, it is supposed to be good for a year. It cost about 11 bucks at my dealer, but can probably be found elsewhere for less.

Thanks for the tip Ftwildernessguy! :thumbsup2
This is a good idea!

I have a product that I use on that black stuff. Reliable Products. I usually pick it up at the RV shows or they have a web site that you can order from http://www.reliableproductsonline.com

It also works on black steaks. I put it in my wash water and my tt is so very white! I use their wash and wax and it shines too! :cool2:

It works just as good on the inside too! :yay:

I would have to say that this is my best RV product! :)

:tink:

Something else that works really good on the gaskets is the MrClean Erasers. They take the mildew off in no time.

I have two products I wouldn't be without -- one is Gel Gloss. Works great to keep hard surfaces protected and shiny. Use it on the shower every few trips and it doesn't get dirty nearly as quickly. Countertops don't show scratches.

The other is Invisible Glass.

MrClean Erasers

I'v not had good luck with this on the gaskets, gets some of the stains off but not all. The magic eraser does work excellent on the awning I found out.

So far my most useful item has been Command Adhesive Strips/Hooks/etc. Holds just about anything to the walls/cabinets, etc. without drilling holes, nails, etc.

Oh, we took the camper out for the first time this weekend. Check out the Blog!!
