Spring break runs through most all of March and usually ends around the second week of April.

Yep..if you want to avoid spring breakers I'd schedule vacation around the third week of April and later. My kids had off all of last week and will be going back this Wednesday, other schools here have off all of this week as well.
And remember southern US schools let out for the school year in mid May.

Spring break can vary in diff parts of the country. Massachusetts has not had theirs yet, it is next year. Usually always the 3rd week in April

You're right......... it usually is the third week in April. It all depends on when Patriot's Day is, and it is celebrated on the third Monday in April.

Oh and here's a good one: Next year, Easter is early.

Typically college and prep school students have Spring Break in March regardless of when Easter is. Public schools have Spring Break the week before/after Easter.

Next year, for the first time, my DD and my DS will have Spring Break the same week! Right before Easter.

As one poster said, spring break varies all over the country. Easter is early next year. It falls on March 27. HTH
