i'm paying rack rates at bc this coming sun mon and tues! $322.24 per night. i've been reading about ap discounts, what are they and can i get one?

ok. now i know that the ap discount is for annual pass. i called central reservation and they said they had discount for the nights i'll be there but i can't get the discount without paying a 1 night penalty ($322.24) because i am within 5 nights of my arrival. i am bummed.

you can purchase an annual pass at your local disney store. the adult one is $370 i think. it allows you access to the 4 disney parks for 365 days from the time you turn in your voucher. (when you pay for the pass, you actually get a voucher that you turn in to guest services at the theme parks or downtown disney). i would call first and see if they have any AP rate rooms left. tell them that you are a pass holder and if you get it, then buy the pass.

i emailed disney last week about checking in with the voucher since i would be coming straight from the airport. they said i would have to go to downtown disney first and then trade in my voucher and then return to check in but others on this board have said that they have not had this problem. if you go this route, i would just be prepared if they ask you to do this.

the pass is expensive but can save you alot on the room. good luck!

If you made a room only ressie they can apply the AP rate - if available. Just call CRO and ask. You don't need to have the AP when booking but will need to have an AP at check-in.

i also forgot to mention that you only need 1 AP to book the rate, so everyone else in the room can have a regular park ticket if you don't think that you will get use out of an AP for each person!
