We just last minute decided to go to DW over Xmas week. YES I know we are nuts but it is what it is. We are arriving in Florida on Xmas day and our first park day will be the 26th and we will be going through the 31st. My question is do you think we have a chance in hell of getting anything? Luckily the 180 days isn't till next week so I am not to that yet but not staying onsite so have to go in each day.

Also more importantly at what time can you get online to book dining online? Is it 7 eastern or 6? I need to know cuz I am Pacific time so I am going to have to get up at 0 dark thirty.

TIA

I thin pst is 3am. I had huge issues on my booking day but called at 7 central and sat on hold for 30 min but got all but 2 reservations I wanted. When u call they can also check for the week instead of 1 day and meal at a time. I would do both. Make a list and back up list, you can also convert your reservation to a disney travel agent and mine has been a huge help with this stuff, it's free by the way.

Online: 6 AM Eastern time, so being on the West coast we have to make them at 3 AM!
Phone: 7 AM Eastern time

It will be difficult if you are hoping to book any of the more popular places (i.e. character meals, BOG, 'Ohana, Akershus, Cali Grill) because anyone staying at a Disney resort will have up to 10 days head start. However, you will have 6 months to keep checking online for cancellations so hopefully you will get the places you want.

While cancellations can occur at any time, there will probably be an uptick around 60 days and 30 days prior when people make their FP+ choices and have to rearrange their plans, 30 days in advance is also the deadline to pay in full for packages so those cancelling packages will also cancel reservations. Finally as it gets closer to the actual vacation dates there are many changes in daily plans and you will find cancellations so keep checking even after you arrive at DW. You can also subscribe to the December cancellation thread at the top of this forum.

Thanks so much all. We have not been since 2010 and SO much has changed. We had a trip planned in fall of 14, had to cancel because my mom needed knee surgery, then rescheduled it to this June. We were supposed to be there the 3rd through the 15th. I was glad we couldn't go because I was worried about crowds, weather etc. At least going in Dec hopefully at least the weather will be good. I am not dumb and know the crowds will be THE worst and I planned to do HS on NYE as I figured that would hopefully be the least crowded since half the park is closed down. That also happens to be my daughter's birthday so I am praying I can at least get the Brown Derby for lunch that day and I am sure they will have some kind of fireworks so we may or may not stay for that depending on what is offered.

I figured we wouldn't get much and although I was really lucky to get everything I wanted for June I know I can just about forget it for xmas week. I did make backup plans for each day and to save money unlike last trip we will not be trying to do things like Calif Grill and such. The ONLY thing I want is BOG which I pretty much know I won't get on the first try eventhough I did score it for June BUT I did know that you can go back in so I will def do that. Otherwise we picked things that weren't that popular for the rest of the time. So hoping we get that.

Thanks again and I have my alarm set for 3 next Wed which is my 180. Bad part is I have to do it every day for 6 days :/
