Help!!

HEllo you wonderful Dissers!

I've got a bit of a quandary - we've booked a package holiday thorugh a well known UK holiday company for 2 weeks in November staying at the Comfort Inn LBV.

Due to a change in circumstances my parents have now decided to join us but the package price has risen greatly. They also wanted $1000 to add them just to our room booking

I know that the rooms at comfort inn sleep 4 adults easily and are sold on a room basis and not per person. How do The Commfort inn Monitor who is in what room? Would they object to extra adults in a room?

Or do we try to book seperate accomodation - which I'm reluctant to do and it is my parents first trip and we'd like to be together.

Good question!
First of all, can the 4 of you live in a small hotel room together for two weeks with one bath?? If so, you are an exceptionally close family!!

Second, is the trip cancellable? I will come back to this in a second.
Third, will you have a rental car?

Fourth, what weeks in November, is it during Thanksgiving in the US, (the week of the 24th)?

If yes to car rental, check and see what it would cost to change hotels and see if they offer two bedroom condos from the Company...It would mean no room service and make your own beds, but would be two bedroom, two bath, kitchen, etc. Infact, insist that they find you a condo if possible. There are thousands and thousands for rent in the area and these companies have access to them..they should be no more expensive than hotel rooms.

If you can cancel the hotel without the cancelling the flight, find your own two bedroom or even 3 bedroom condo on line. You can find them for way under $100 night for all of you...we can help with later.

Now if nothing above is possible, I would guess you could try 4 in the room and what happens...Tip the maid nicely and she may not say a word...

Next time, come to the Dis before you plan and I'll bet you can come a lot cheaper by making all your own plans and not doing a package...lots of folks on this board can help with that...Good Luck...Ted

definitely make sure that canceling this package won't cancel your plane flight tickets.

hey the plane tickets might be the extra expense. unless the package also includes tickets.

I would think if you are not above the occupancy number for the room, then you should be fine. It wouldn't hurt to call the hotel directly and see if you can get another room for them at a decent price either. I honestly would not have thought twice about letting them stay in my room, if there were just two of us.
