how do you bring up old post to check on peoples responses? It has been a while and I can not remember how to pull up old responses

If it is a post that you started or responded to, you should still be "subscribed" to it. Go to the upper right hand corner where it says "quick links". Then go to where it says "subscribed threads" and see if the thread you are looking for is listed under your subscribed threads.
