A couple of friends are going to be in florida the same week as me. They are thinking about joining up with me for a weekend, but are not sure. I don't want to call disney and add them to my reservation because I don't want to pay the extra adult fee and not have them show up. They will know for sure they day that I am checking in. Would I be able to add them to my reservation at check-in? I have a room only reservation if that makes a difference and all 3 of us are annual pass holders.

I wouldn't worry about it until they show up. You don't need to add them for tickets or dining so there's no real need until they do show up. My Mom lives in Florida and when we go to visit she'll often just show up at her leisure for our trips. We don't always know when that is going to be so we just tell the front desk when she does finally arrive. We've never had an issue. They've even thanked us for being honest which I thought was odd but I guess people don't always do that.
