Help!

We have our first Disney trip planned February 23rd through the 29th for my husband, myself, our six year old son and my one and half year old daughter. My 21 month old just fractured her shin and is in a cast. Do we still go???? Also, my sister told me that at Bushe Gardens, if you have a person in cast, they go to the head of the line. Is this true in Disney?

The last time we went was May of 2007. In some lines people went through a special handicapped line, but most rides you pushed pushedthe person through the regular line. There are SO MANY wheelchairs at Disney if they let everyone in a chair to the front of the line the regular wait time would be terrible.

Ultimately, so what. It's Disney World and broken bone or not the family is going to have a great time.

I would say that as long as your daughter is comfortable and not in pain to go ahead and go. She will be in a stroller or being held most of the time anyway at that age anyway, and sitting in your lap for rides and and shows.

At Disney you do not get to go to the front of the line. But go to the Guest Assistance Center at the first park you go to and ask for a Guest Assistance Card. What it will do is allow you to use the stroller as a wheelchair and keep your daughter in it through the lines and in the restaurants and buildings. Normally you are required to leave them outside but carrying her may be too much so it will be a big help to be able to leave her in the stroller and she will be more comfortable not having her leg banged around.

Make sure you have enough of whatever prescriptions the Dr. has provided for her (do they give pain killers for babies?) in case she has any discomfort and let her be your guide-- she may get very frustrated not being able to walk around and need to go back to the resort.
