As you can see from my signature - i am still over a year away from our DCL cruise but there is nothing wrong with a little planning, right :rotfl2:

It looks like we will be flying in on a Thursday and have Friday to do something before getting on the ship on Saturday morning. I have decided that I want to go to Seaworld on that Friday. It is just me and my (then) five year old daughter and we are both animal fanatics so I know Seaworld is a good choice for us. I would have done Discovery Cove but the minimum age there is 6 so that is out.

Anyways, here is my question. I am trying to decide if it would make more sense to stay by the airport for Thursday and Friday nights or find a hotel closer to Seaworld instead. I will probably be renting a car at the airport and our flight will not get in until early evening more than likely. My other option is to stay in Orlando Thursday night and then drive to the port after a day at Seaworld and stay there on Friday. I dont know if that would be smart or not.

I have never been to Orlando so I am having trouble understanding how far apart everything is. I do not know how much further it will be to the cruise port from the Seaworld Area as opposed to the airport but i would think it couldnt be more than 20 minutes or so? I am hoping someone here can provide some good advice or information based on your own experience.

Thanks in advance for any help :thumbsup2

From the airport to Sea world is a quick 20 min drive on the 528. You'll also use the 528 to go out the port.

If you don't do a land and sea package with disney, do they still offer free transportation to the port??

If it was possible i would stay at a disney resort, use the free ME there. Then on friday morning, head to the TTC and take the lynx bus to sea world. and that would save you the 14$ parking fee.
Then saturday use the free shuttle out to the port. if that's at all possible.

But if you're wondering where to stay, if you can get a good rate a sea world hotel, then stay there cause you'll knock off the parking fee. And it won't place you that much further away. Getting on the 528 will only take a few minutes.

if your flight gets in early enough, you can take advantage of the 2nd day free. go in thursday afternoon, and all day friday. And if it's during the summer time, you could go to aquatica the first night and enjoy that park.
