I must be doing something wrong. I am looking on the Universal website and pricing tickets. We are staying 5 days next month at the Hard Rock. It says tickets for 4 days for 4 adults and 1 child = $967.95 but an AP would be $999?

if you are planning to do 5 park days, go with the ap.
power pass could be an option for you if you only need it for park admission.

You've got it right. :thumbsup2

I got a nice discount on hotel just buying the Power Pass for myself. Don't forget to use that if you can!

The Universal Blackout dates forced us to go with the Prefered Pass since they are blacking out June 14- Aug 14 this and we are going in July :( But heck it is still less since we go at least twice in a year and the renewel rate on the pass is pretty nice :)

Wow! That Power Pass price is amazing! How long can you have a non-activated AP/Power Pass for? My husband just started a new job and we wouldn't be able to travel until late this year or maybe even May next year. Could I buy passes now (since they will probably go up in price) and activate them possibly a year later?

You can buy them now and wait as long as you'd like to activate it. Even if you were to buy now and not step a foot into the parks until 2 years from now, they would still be valid. They are activated upon first use.
