Hi there!

We are going to WDW for Free Dining AND Thanksgiving!!!:cool1:

and what's even better is my parents have been kind enough to pay for our hotel and park tickets!

We have been racking our brains trying to figure out what to do as a thank you present for my parents-they are not interested in souvineers, not interested in special treats delivered to their room, not interested in resort upgrades, most of the fireworks are "past their bedtime";) We finally decided on a surprise dinner.

We will be arriving on the Wed before Thanksgiving and staying at CSR. We won't have the DDP or park tickets on Wed. night because we are arriving mid-day. We were originally going to just eat at the Pepper Market, but they don't *love* this place, they just figured it would be easier. I thought this would be a great opportunity to get surprise dinner ADR's!

My mom & I love to resort hop (especially when the holiday decor is up) so I thought I would make an ADR at a monorail resort so we could take the train & hope to the 3 resorts, maybe take a boat to the WL or FW as well.

SO, where would you suggest? I don't want anything too fancy-something where we would NOT need to dress up fancy with healthy food options.

We are looking into The Wave at the CR-what do you think?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I'm not sure what you mean about not having park tix or DDP because you arrive mid-day. DDP is per night of your stay and activates at check in. If you are checked in, you should have your package activated and be good to go. I haven't been to the Wave, but a lot of the food is supposed to be organic. I'm sure you can find reviews in the reviews section. Ohana would be fun, or Kona. Check out some menus on allears.net.
Have fun!

Grand Floridian Cafe would be a nice meal that your parents would probably enjoy. Really nice and elegant setting but it's casual. It's one of Disney's hidden gems as far as retaurants go.

We just added on Wednesday & decided to do it as a "room only" reservation because we are not planning on hitting the parks that day & we are arriving mid day so we didn't think the DDP would be worth it that day:)

'Ohana is always are favorite but very hard to get reservations there. GF Cafe is also great and it is a wonderful place to see Holiday Decorations. Another option might be the Luau.
