Help with shortcuts to parks from Emerald Island PLEASE

So we just experienced our first trip on I-4 during rush hour--not good! We checked out of Universal's Royal Pacific hotel today and checked into our EI condo. I know I have heard there is a shortcut to the parks that avoids I-4 and there is even a very vague sketch of it in the brochure I got. I need more detailed information if anyone has it. THANKS!

Shortcut to WALT DISNEY WORLD from EIR
Exit out of Emerald Island by turning right
At the 4 way stop take the left onto Formosa Gardens
Stay to the right, turn right onto 192 (at the Red Lobster)
Immediately get into the left lane.
Turn left at the light onto Sherberth Road. Follow Sherberth to the light.
Take a right, your on Disney property!
Follow the signs to the location of choice.
When returning remember to take a left right before AKL.

If you want to avoid I-4 for Universal, follow the above directions to Disney. You will eventually see signs for down town Disney, follow them. When you are at down town Disney, head onto Hotel Plaza Blvd (can only go right).

Make a left from Hotel Plaza Blvd to SR 535 & get into the right lane.

Make a right at the traffic light where Olive Garden is. This is Palm Parkway.

Stay on Palm Parkway. It will wind and become Turkey Lake Rd.

Go thru the traffic light on Sand Lake & Turkey Lake staying on Turkey Lake.

Continue straight until you see Universal on your right hand side. You will also see Dr. Phillips High School on your left.

Make the right at that light onto Hollywood Way. This will take you right into Universal's parking garage.
