Hi everyone. We are going in February!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 :teeth: :wizard: We've had to change our plans a lot cause of DF's hectic work schedule, but finally we are definitely leaving in Feb! DF is a huge football fan, and says we could go about a week after the superbowl. We can't leave any earlier than the 13th because we have a birthday in the family on the 12th that can't be missed. I was hoping we could go the first week in February because of the low crowds, and now i'm worried we are going to run into the President's Week crowds. Should we wait, and go in late February? Any opinions would be great, especially if you have been to the parks at these times. Thanks and have a magical day! :wizard:

EDIT: also on disneyworld.com and expedia.com for some reason, i can not book anything in feb? i wasn't trying to finalize everything, just to take a look at prices and that kind of thing. anyone know what the problem is here? thanks.

I have been to WDW during the first week of Feb last year, I was watching Mickey instead of the Steelers, and I have also been during the end of Feb-beginning of March.

Early Feb was cooler weather, but lovely none the less. I wasn't going to the pool as it was too cold, but enjoyed everything else. The crowds were lovely and we enjoyed the time very much.

Late Feb was wonderful, weather wise. The year we went it was upper 70's lower 80's and absolutely delightful. The crowds were low at this time too.

I have not been during presidents week, but can't imagine that it is all that crowded...not like spring break or christmas break. I would imagine that the holiday weekend will be more crowded than normal though.

Hope this information helps. Enjoy your trip.

Warning*** alot of states don't do just a mid winter break in March.

Alot of states (especially in the northeast) do a break in Feb. (usually around Presidents day) and another in mid April......

Even if school vacation is the week after you will find ALOT of guests coming in mid week to avoid the entire school vacation week. Same thing with the week following the vacation.

Thanks for your help!! :goodvibes Does anyone have any other advice/ info?

We went early March last year (2 thru12) and was surprised about how crowded it was! I think it starts getting crowded mid February and just escalates through March and April. Schools and colleges have their breaks all through that time and then you have Nascar, Daytona, Mardi Gra as well as the conventions. This year we are going from Feb 14 until the 26. It may be crowded but it will have longer park hours and better weather (hopefully). :sunny:

We loved February. We arrived the week before Presidents Day -- around the 12th -- it was awesome! Walked on to rides virtually line free.

We had gone to celebrate DS birthday, which fell on Presidents Day, of course he wanted to spend "his" day at MK. The week had been so awesome we didn't even think about crowds. The morning was okay but by noon, MK was PACKED! It was worse than Christmas time! We were only at MK that day so I don't know if all the parks were that busy, but it was miserable.

It was also the day after the Daytona 500... as it is this year. There were LOTS of race people who apparently came straight from Daytona.

If we're ever there again I think the Monday of Pres weekend will be a non-park day for us.

The last two years we have gone to WDW last week in February and the first week in March. Both years the last week in February I thought was pretty quiet in the parks. I did notice the parks being a little busier the next week though, but nothing we couldn't manage. ;)

Look at the upcoming events for WDW. I think they have an NFL players weekend at the beginning of March! Talk about heaven for a huge football fan! :cloud9:

Thanks everyone! You have all been a great help! :goodvibes

Have a magical day! :wizard:
