I keep packing unpacking and repacking for my 5 month old DD! This is our first trip with her and we are driving from Niagara Falls Ontario to Orlando over two days and I have this awful feeling that I am forgetting something !other than the obvious diapers bottles clothes etc.... What does everyone else bring for their little ones?

TIA :)

Gas drops, diaper cream, more diapers, wipes, & clothes than you think you need. Blankets, anything special for sleeping or bath time. Just a few random thoughts.

baby Tylenol, thermometer, extra pacifiers if baby's using one, light blanket, baby sunscreen, extra towel helps to put under baby while changing in first aid rooms, baby sunglasses, baby hat, cooling cloths in case baby gets overheated, plus like already said, extra diapers, wipes, and clothes. extra wipes are also helpful for wiping down places. towel to protect baby if laying outside.

My wife found a clip on, battery operated fan which we put I the stroller and it worked well to keep our 10 month old cooler... Also a sunhat if the baby will wear one...

If your baby is used to anything in his/her room that makes noise (a humidifier, air cleaning machine, etc.) you may want to find an app on your phone that makes a similar noise. Also if he/she is used to a night light don't forget to bring one! Guilty of that myself.

Don't worry too much. You're bound to forget something and if that happens, you can just stop at a store along the way. I've got four kids and it may just be me, but I'm always forgetting something. Pay special attention to the irreplaceable things like the favorite blanket or toy. Enjoy the trip!

It's almost impossible to remember everything but luckily, there is a Target store in just about every town in America and they have everything for baby there at reasonable prices...from pacifiers to baby cereal to a new stroller!

If you're going to do laundry, try to bring some detergent or remember to buy some at target/Walmart when you get to orlando. I personally need specific detergent for my daughter (not hard to find though) so the stuff they sell in the resorts wouldn't work.

Also, perhaps the way you pack would be useful. So like you're going to stop overnight on the way: bring a bag that contains everything you need for that night. Then you just grab that one and you've got what you need.

Also consider making a list for an arrival shopping trip. When traveling with our daughter as an infant I made sure to have that list ready to go with things we would need to go get shortly after arrival.

Depending if your little one gets carsick at all, make sure to have extra clothes handy for both of you in the car! Learned that one the hard way.

I personally made big spreadsheets to use as my packing lists and would make sure to list quantities and everything, then check it all off as I packed it. I actually started just washing all of our clothes every night when we were staying with family and it helped but then I shouldn't have packed so many clothes!

But I'm with everyone else - particularly since you'll have a car. Pack the must have items and don't worry too much about the rest since it's all pretty easy to get.
