This is my first post after several years of lurking. My wife and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversery in September. I was wanting to know how the free dining worked as far as what you get. Is it the same as what you buy in a package per day ( 1 cs, 1 ts, & 1 snack) or is it different? Thanks in advance for any advice I receive.

Happy Anniversary!

Yes, free dining includes the same thing as the basic (not delux) DDP, only you don't have to pay for it, so you'd get 1 snack, 1 cs and 1 ts meal per night of stay per person. The "value" of free dining is $38 or $39 per day per adult, I think around $10 per day per child. The dining plan is a decent value if you pay for it (depending on where you eat), but a GREAT value for free. For my family of 4, we saved about $1500 on our last trip with free dining (It would have cost around $1000 to buy it, but we ate about $1500 of food. That was when the plan included appies and tips.)

Here's the info on what the plan includes. And it would be free.

Thanks for the info. This is going to be a big surprise for her, so cross your fingers she does not find out.
