I am working on a paper piecing for the Topper and Tag swap. I want to flock my Sulley and Mike. The area is rather large so I figured the best way and most effective way to add adhesive is to run it through my xyron. It work great, but it is rather difficult to draw in my black lines for the detailing of the characters. Plus I still need to glue on pieces to finish off the detailing of the characters so I am not sure how they will stick to the flock.

When I do mine, I run it through the Xyron, then I apply all the little pieces. Then in the areas that are left (and sticky) I apply the flock. When I did my Sulley, I flocked the purple spots first, then attached them, then did the aqua flock.

I print my black lines with the computer, so can't help there.

Thanks Hope. That will help with half my problem, so I will do it it that way. Now I need to figure out drawing in my lines. I drew my lines once , then flocked, and you can see them, but mildly. Then I went and drew over those lines into the flock. Much better, but had little pieces of flock on my pen. I may just have to do it that way.

Would drawing over the lines before flocking help, or would it just make your pen all sticky? Would a cocktail stick/toothpick scrape off the stick from the lines?:confused3

I sort of decided to do your suggestion MazdaUK, but I draw in my features before I run it through the xyron. Then I did what Hopemax said she did and placed all the little pieces on and then I flock. The lines show so so on Sulley, so I do go over them again on the flock and it turned out well (i think so). This is my favorite group out of the seven I am in.
