help with dvc resorts

I might be staying at a DVC resort and was wondering if anyone has advice on their preference of resorts. I am looking at BWV, OKW, VWL. I am going in mid December.

Any thoughts would be great.

What kinds of things are you looking for? If you are going to be spending a lot of time at MK then VML is a great location. BWV is great for Epcot and MGM - this is my personal favorite And OKW has the largest rooms, although they are the oldest as well. OKW is also a pretty quick commute to DTD.

Do you have kids? Are pools important and will you be depedant on Disney transportation? These things are key factors in deciding on our resort. Let us know and little more about what is important to you and I'm sure you will get lots of great responses!

I am traveling with 3 adults and 2 children. Because of being mid December not sure how much pool time we will need. I am open to locations. Am planning on going to eat at BW and Epcot. Kids love MK. We are open to ideas. I guess just looking for overall room quality of BWV or VWL or SSR.

Mid December is a hard time to book a DVC unit as it is a very popular time for DVC members to visit WDW. Our points cost is lower then so the sooner you try to book, the better your chances.

It's very possible that BWV and VWL are booked for when you want to go. I'd check first before putting too much thought into where you want to stay.

A valid point... have you checked availability yet?

Also, I wouldn't discount the use of pools and other "summer" things if you are going in December. We usually go in January and we use the pools.

Another thing to keep in mind, is during that time of year all the resorts are decorated for the holidays. All the resorts are decorated beautifully but WL & VWL are incredible. This resort really has the holiday feel to it.
Unfortunately, it is also very hard to get into this resort during this time of year, but you could always try, Good luck!
