The Hoop Dee Doo Revue! It will cost you 2 credits, but totally worth it. It is a dinner show, which while corny is hilarious. Your, or any other, 14 year old may turn their nose up at the entertainment, but the food..my mouth is watering as I type. All you can eat bbq ribs, fried chicken, mashed taters, bbq beans and salad. Ma's strawberry shortcake is for dessert. For adults, beer, wine and sangria are included in the beverage choices and are refillable. This is located at Ft. Wilderness campground, so just a quick boat trip from WL. I LOVE this place. We go every trip.
I have an 11 year old that is very picky and not an adventurous eater also. We went to Citricos (as 2 TS credits), and she enjoyed it very much. She had a chicken and pasta dish, and ate it all. She has even asked if we can go back some day.
With her being so picky and now considered an adult on the dining plans, we've stuck to more CS places, and don't usually get the dining plan any more. She actually enjoyed the CS place in Morocco at Epcot. Again she had chicken, and pronounced it good. As I recall it wasn't overly spicy. She does like a little heat..not much, but a little she can handle The portions were fairly large as I recall, but the side dishes may not appeal to your son. Couscous and hummus as I recall. My DD tried them, and didn't care for either.
Another CS place we like to go is Cosmic Ray's in MK. There is a good variety of food which is nice. You can get 1/2 a rotisserie chicken there with a couple of sides. That is A LOT of food. If I can talk her in to it, we will share it. She likes to get either chicken tenders or the 1/2 slab of ribs.
If we do TS we tend to stick to characater meals for breakfast. The ones we've done are all you can eat buffets. My DD loves breakfast foods, so I feel like I am getting my money's worth at those.
