Just realized I booked our hotel GCH for 1 too many nights. We are getting 5 day hoppers, 1 night of halloween party, making it 6 days in park. We wanted 1 day relax at pool day for 7 nights total.

What is our best plan of action, arrive on Sept. 26th (Saturday) and leave on Sat. Oct 3, or arrive on Sunday 9/27 and leave on 10/4? Thanks!

And what do you suggest, taking off day on weekend or during week? So hard as it's less crowded during week, but weekend has longer hours and more entertainment.

I would arrive on Saturday and try to get Fantasmic done on Sunday (WOC and Fireworks should be all week long). If you are not going to the Friday Halloween Party, I would probably take Friday off. Friday will have a Halloween party, so they will not show F! that night anyway.

I would add that it depends a little on what is more important to you: lower crowds or long hours and more entertainment. Sat (10/3) and Sun (10/4) are Gay Days in DLR, one of the largest unofficial events in the parks. So the crowds will be high on the weekends. I would probably opt for the first plan (Sat, 9/26, through Sat, 10/3) because you'll still have a chance to see the nighttime entertainment, but on a potentially less busy weekend (although all weekends during HalloweenTime are busy).

Despite the lower crowds, I would probably opt to take one of the weekdays in the middle of the trip "off". I like to put the break in the middle to rest and recharge, so that my group can stay from opening to closing the rest of the days. So, I would probably consider taking either Tuesday or Wednesday off (maybe Wed because it's another MHP night and DL closes at 6:00 pm).
