We are planning on staying at HRH (heard it's been recently reno'd!) and are considering renting a cabana. We don't know much about them, however, and are hoping some kind, experienced folks from this board can help us out. Any information would be helpful since we know NOTHING, but have read a little about people renting them, and making reso's asap for them. I also understand they are fairly costly and some are positioned better than others. Are they themed? Is there a pool boy who will bring me wonderful fruity drinks when my hubby isn't looking? (Just Kidding about the pool boy:banana: ). Why do people usually rent them? What are the advantages to having a cabana, and so on and so forth. . . . . btw, it will be hubby, self, 15y, 11y, 8y.

Hard Rock Hotel Cabanas

I've heard that Cabana #9 is now a blue beach theme.

The cabanas make a horseshoe around the pool. Many go for cabanas 7-10 because they are closer to the slide, on the beach side, and near the walkway to the parks.

Watch out for those pool boys. On our last rental, that cute pool boy kept bringing me these little blue drinks while the guys had the kids at the parks. I won't even post what our bar bill was for 4 adults and 7 kids (cabanas 7 & 8) But, it was more than a couple of nights at the hotel. Hey, it did include some food :rolleyes1

So, definitely watch out for those pool boys. They are just a tad too attentive ;)

Can you tell me where exactly the screen is placed based on this picture? I believe this is the view from Cabana 7. Right now I have cabana 10 reserved, but I am thinking of switching it to Cabana 6. I want to weigh the pros and cons of switching. I think switching will save me around $60 in costs, but I know I will lose the direct view of the screen that 10 offers. But I am trying to see "how" obstructed the view from cabana 6 is.
