We have a very very small master bathroom and an even smaller budget for our remodel. We used to have one of those neo angle stall showers but that was removed, and now we are getting 48" stall shower. We are torn between having the shower tiled (the other were standard white porcelin tile) or having one of those surround shower inserts put in. I am looking for pros and cons. I am not loving the shower inserts but told they would cost less and less to maintain vs. tile.

Looking for any suggestions and opinions on both. This is the first of I am sure many many questions I will have. I have NO decorating sense and style whatsoever so I am clueless

Thanks so much!

If you could make sure it is grouted properly and care for it properly, I would go for the tile.

Our previous owners had redone the master bath--and the tile is just crappy and the grout is all cracking and stuff. I'm sure over time that is expected to happen...but it was a newer remodel when we got it. :confused3

I look longingly at the shower inserts, but we can't get one b/c we have a window in the stall (high up of course) that we don't want to cover. Maintenance would certainly be much much easier.
