Help with banking and transferring points

I hope some of you experts out there can help with this!
We own 235 at SSR. We still have all this year's points and our use year is March. I know I can transfer the points to a friend, but will I have to do that before October, or could I bank the points and then transfer them? Also, if I transfer the points now, can my friend bank them to use next year? I have tried reading other posts, but none really seemed to answer my question.

You can not bank the points and then transfer them. Banked points can't be transferred.

You can transfer them to your friend, and your friend can bank them.
