I'm planning a 2 night trip from NJ with my 3 boys in April to visit the National Aquarium to celebrate my twins' 5th birthday. I was hoping to find a restaurant like Rainforest Cafe or similar to have dinner on our first night. There doesn't seem to be one in the area. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Also, has anyone stayed in any of the hotels near the aquarium and can make a suggestion? I'd like to find somewhere within walking distance or at least one that offers a shuttle service.

Any other ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA

How about Hard Rock or ESPN Zone? Hooters? ;):lmao:

BTW, there is an RFC north of Baltimore in Towson.

Have fun! I love going to Baltimore.

There used to a Rain Forest Cafe in Towson Town Center. I am highly dissapointed to learn it is no longer there, which I just found out while I was looking to get you directions there fom Baltimore.

unfortunately that RFC closed about 2 years ago when TTC remodeled that whole wing of the mall into designer shops.

We went there for a wedding and stayed near the aquarium, but I couldn't tell you what the name of the hotel was. On our way to DC we saw a Medievel Times, but I have no idea if it was actually in Baltimore.

I've stayed at the Pier 5 Hotel and I would recommend it. It's very nice and right in the heart of Baltimore. Medieval Times in in Hanover at Arundel Mills Mall, it's not in Balitmore you would have to drive a little bit to get there. But it's definitely worth going to if you've never been! I love to go to Phillips when I'm in Baltimore. Like a pp mentioned ESPN Zone or Hard Rock Cafe are always great to go to. My honest suggestion though is just to walk around and stop in the small cafes and restaurants, I've been to many of them and they are very good. Authentic cuisine and decently priced! Anywhere in Little Italy is my 1st choice.

As far as things to do- MD Science Center, Aquarium, the zoo is about 10 minutes away, Port Discovery, any of the museums, you've got a couple of different ships there, the duck tour, anything that is going on at the 1st Mariner Arena, Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium, art galleries, all kinds of stuff to see and do. Have fun!
