Help with Aulani reservations

Hello--I am booking a trip at Aulani at my 7 month window for 7 nights. Only 5 nights are available for a studio but two nights are available at a one-bedroom. My problem is that I am only able to secure the 5 nights and the remaining two nights are a separate reservation which requires me to wait several days (to get inside the 7 month window) even though it is one continuous trip and I should be able to book 7 nights from my 7-month window! I called Disney and they said I had to wait and risk losing the one-bedroom by waiting the several days. Any suggestions for a work around? Disney suggested "walking the reservation" but the one-bedroom is not available the several days prior to my needed days. Thank you for any suggestions!

This is just how the system works. You can’t have one reservation with multiple room types.
