Hi everybody,
We are arriving in Orlando the night before checking into WL. Our plan is to stay offsite that first night and get up early the next AM to make the MK opening ceremony. It is NOT a EMH morning. A couple of problems just occured to me. We are resort guests but at that point we will have not checked in. Will we be able to get over to MK on the transport early enough to enjoy the rope drop since we haven't checked in. Also I have to get my AP activated. Will I be able to get this accomplished that early in the AM and still see the opening ceremony?
Also, AP gets free parking. Will they let me in for free with a voucher.

Thanks everyone. The is the best Disney resource ever.

I was thinking last night. Another thought would be to just check in at WL very early, around 6:15 AM and then take a boat to CR and the monorail in to MK. hmmm... :confused3

probably won't be ready. Then, you will get your parking pass from your resort, which you can just display on your dashboard. You would still have to park and take the monorail, though. I'm not sure what time Guest Services opens, to be able to activate your AP. I'm sure you could call WDW info to find out. Also, as far as parking goes, we usually check in early at AS Mo, and park the car at the resort. Then we hop the MK bus.

You can park at the WL even if you aren't checked in yet and then take the boat over – there is a window at the MK that will activate your passes

here is where you can activate your pass:
The following places will send you a voucher for your AP/PAP. This voucher must be exchanged for the actual pass at any WDW ticket window or Guest Relations window or at the Guest Relations offices at Downtown Disney or Downtown Disney West Side:

- online at www.disneyworld.com
- by calling 407-WDISNEY

The following places will sell you an activated AP/PAP. No exchanging required:

- Any WDW major park ticket window
- Guest Relations at the major parks or at Downtown Disney and West Side
- The Ocala Disney Information Center on I-75 in Ocala, FL
- Disney's EarPort at Orlando International Airport (2 locations)
- Character Warehouse at Belz Mall 2 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Belz Mall 1 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Orlando Premium Outlets Mall in Lake Buena Vista
