Help! Will I lose our park reservations if I switch to non-Disney hotel?

Hello. I am an out of state AP and have a reservation at a moderate hotel the end of the month. However, I might be cancelling that and staying over in Bonnett Creek at The Signia Hilton. Will I lose my park reservations if I cancel my Disney hotel? I've had both the hotel and park reservation for quite a few months but might switch hotels for personal reasons.

Thanks for any help! :flower1:

If you made the reservations out of the resort guest bucket, then yes, you will. If you used the AP bucket, you will not. You can make 3 park reservations from the AP bucket.

Number of AP Park Reservations (without a resort stay) is dependent on which Annual Pass you have. Since @tbssenterprises is not a FL Resident, they would be able to make up to 5 AP park reservations (without a resort stay). The FL Resident Pixie-Dust pass is limited to 3 (without a resort stay) and the FL Resident Pirate Pass is limited to 4 (without a resort stay). The Sorcerer Pass (FL & DVC) and the Incredi-Pass have a limit of 5 (without a resort stay).

That's right! I forgot about the "new" types of AP's! And there are still some grandfathered silver and gold passes out there, too.

Silver is basically the Pirate Pass and can make 4. Gold is basically the Sorcerer Pass and can make 5.

I'm not sure which "bucket" I made the reservation out of? Is there a way to tell? I do have other park reservations for a stay in July. It looks as though the park is sold out for the last week of March (if I end up losing my reservation I'll be stuck). I tried to experiment with April, May, etc., but I am getting locked out. Not sure if that's because I've reached my 5 day quota.

When you go to make park reservations, after selecting you have an AP you select that you are on-site or not. If you selected the on-site, the only limit is how long your resort reservation is and these don't count towards your off-site AP count.

If you go back to the park reservation system and select AP and then the off-site option it will tell you how many you have made.

You can also select the on-site option and then your reservation to see how many you've made based staying on-property.

I would talk to Disney directly because Signia is considered a "Select Resort Hotel" and is included in the bucket with the Disney hotels, but the problem would be canceling because technically those park passes are connected to the resort reservation.

Try making a park reservation for a random day. It will tell you how many you booked and that's how you can tell.
