Help! - Will DD need booster seat?

Can anyone please tell me at what weight/age is a child no longer required to sit in a booster seat in the car.

ALL CHILDREN 5 YEARS OLD OR YOUNGER MUST USE A RESTRAINT DEVICE WHEN RIDING IN A MOTOR VEHICLE.

The law requires every driver to secure children five years of age or younger in child restraint devices riding in a passenger car, van, or pick-up truck, regardless of whether the vehicle is registered in this state. Infant carriers or children's car seats must be used for children three years old and younger. Children's car seats or safety belts may be used for four- and five-year-olds.

How old and how much does your daughter weigh? In many states a child has to be in a booster until they are 7 or 8yo and I forgot how many pounds (maybe 80?). I have a 4yo and I think that he'll be in a booster until he is in high school. lol The funny (not funny haha, but funny hmmmm) thing is that I also have a 16yo and the laws have changed so much since she was little. We had her in a booster when she was 2 1/2 and out of a seat at 4.

Anyway, if you daughter is under 7 or 8 I would toss the booster in. You're going to be driving in an unfamilar city and, even though you'll probably have no problems, the chance of an accident is probably higher driving roads, etc that you aren't sued to driving.

I'm going alone with my 4yo in a couple of weeks and will be toting all our suitcases, the carry-ons, his stroller, and the booster seat. I'm bringing an older booster (not his brand new Jupiter one) and won't care if it gets banged around a little.
