Help! Wilderness Lodge or Port Orleans French Quarter?!

I think what we are going to do is book at Wilderness Lodge now (it will probably fill up quicker as it's a deluxe resort, right?). And if a room discount doesn't come out in a few months, then move back to POFQ. Fingers crossed for the room discount!

Late to the party, but it might help you to know that we just got back from a quick trip and got a great discount for Wilderness Lodge. Beautiful resort - loved the transportation to the MK. However, we decided that we really prefer POFQ. We love the boat ride to Downtown Disney, the resort is quiet, the pool area at WL was not a huge improvement (and closed really early!), and we prefer the food court to the one at WL. To each their own, of course, but combining all of this with spending less money for the resort, we would choose POFQ every time.

They are both my favorites in their categories. WL is gorgeous and convenient to much. POFQ is small, quiet, has GREAT CMs and outstanding theming. At WL , you can take a boat to MK. At POFQ, you can take a boat to DS. I don't want to assume anything about your grandmother, but maybe endurance needs to be considered. WL is a large facility. FQ is compact and only 3 floors. If you request buildings 3 or 4, you'll be very close to the bus stop. Other than meeting your grandmother's needs, you really can't make a bad choice with those two. I hope you have a great time.
