DW is sick and we leave Sat. for SSR. What are my options as far a cancelling and rescheduling. These are 2007 ( borowed) points. If I understand it right...

I could cancell, points go to holding, would expire end of May. ( use year June)

Could reschedule for later this month? That would be within the 60 day rule .

Need to decide what to do today as ms is closed for the weekend.

I ( we ) are self employed and can change real easy on my end.

TIA

Lynn

Bummer. If you cancel and your points go into holding, you'll just have to be prepared to stay wherever there's space available. If you can plan to go at anytime, I suppose you could choose a less popular time to get a better chance at something. You may end up spending your points on the Disney resorts, which are, in my opinion, over priced by point.

How sick is she? I don't suppose there's any way you could just drop a night or two from the beginning and add something to the end?

Let us know what you decide to do.

The 60 day rule only applies to outside reservations. You could book a DVC or WDW resort for a stay by the end of the month.

If you decide after member services closes, you can call the resort. I think you need to cancel by midnight.

You could call member services and ask about other date availability before you make your decision.

this is Friday and your reservations starts on Sat....

You need to call someone TODAY

the 60 day rule definitely applies....

because he is canceling in less than 30 days.

Members Service is Open now - call them!!!

You would need to try and get a later May date - but don't be surprise if they are all gone...

otherwise you can go rent the reservation - see if anyone wants a last minute trip....

oh depending upon how many points you can use your once in a lifetime - thing.... (okay I don't remember what it is called).

I won't use this for less than 50 points....because who knows when you might need it again - and it is just what is says once in a lifetime.

you can always ask MS if they have any alternatives...

I called ms and next week is available at ssr... but the doc cant see her till the 18th . So I guess we are going but it may not be the most enjoyable trip.

She has GERDS. something like acid reflux.

Thanks

I was referring to the 60 day rule which says you can't book & travel in the last 60 days of your use year for non-DVC. Holding would be a moot point since they would expire at the end of the month anyway.

>>>Now, you can book and travel within the last 60 days of your Use Year to any of the three Disneyland® Resort hotels, in addition to these other unrestricted destinations:

Disney Vacation Club Resorts
World Passport Collection
All accommodations are subject to availability. <<<<
