So.... I decided to go up a day early for my all girls trip in March. Everyone else is flying in the following day and we will then move into our villa. However, I need somewhere to sleep for that first night. I plan on going to the park to following day before they get there and possible go to a TS breakfast. I would probably go to HS or Epcot. I normally stay at the deluxes but I don't want to spend $500+ for one night when I'll be spending 10 or so hours in the room. So that leave the values and the mods. The only values available for my date are POP and ASMovies. All moderates are available (CSR, CBR, POR, POFQ); however, I don't know if I like CBR. There is also the Swan/Dolphin option but the Dolphin is the only one available for my dates. I don't know what to choose. I have never stayed at the Dolphin so does it have Disney buses? Which of these would you choose? Thanks!

I'd do Swan/Dolphin. I think it'd be a perfect place for one quiet day solo-modern feeling/themed hotel. You can take the boats to and from HS or Epcot. Yes there are buses. Beautiful views from both hotels, all sides!

Hmmm....

Dolphin... and Walk to DHS...

If you are staying around Boardwalk....you have plenty of TS to choose from.....

I'd choose the Dolphin.

But.....if you're flying keep in mind the Dolphin does not have Magical Express. That would be a deal breaker for me for just the one night as I wouldn't want to pay for an airport transfer.

If you're driving or renting a car, also take into mind they do charge you a fee to park even if you stay there (I think its about $12-14 per day), and there is another $12 daily resort fee which includes internet, phone calls, and a couple bottles of water in the room. So just be sure you keep those costs in mind when pricing out your options.

If you need Magical Express, I'd go with POFQ as another poster said. Have a great trip. :goodvibes

It is only one night so I am not sure if you even need to like resort. I would choose something with good bus service like POP, no sharing and only one stop.

For one night, I'd go with POP or ASMovies! You won't be in your room very much and you can use that money for something fun that week! ;-)

If it were me, I would pick a resort I've been interested in, but never stayed in before. You will only be there one night, so if you find out you love it, you can come back. If you find you don't like it, then at least you've tried it and it's only for one night.

I agree. Try something new if you don't mind the price. If saving is an issue try the All Star. I stayed there and loved it- but as a solo traveler be prepared-there are plenty of kids at this resort.
Have Fun!!!!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! The more opinions the better. I'm driving so Magical Express is not a problem. The different between the value, mods, and Dolphin is very small (maybe $50 or so). That is why they were all being considered.

Since you don't have to worry about not having ME, I'd go with the Dolphin. That would get you into the Epcot resort area where you'd have access to Epcot and DHS and some great dining options!

I vote for Dolphin. You can't beat the location if you are going to EPCOT or HS.

Since your going to DS or Epcot, the Dolphin would be a great choice. You could also look into renting DVC points for one night, you might get a great deal.
