Help! Where can I find boy's XL (14/16) shorts tomorrow?

I went to pack and he has outgrown all of his shorts! We are going to need some as the forecast has several days of our trip in the mid-70's.

I am not sure anyone other than expensive sporting-goods stores will have any shorts out yet...but I am not sure...

Is there anywhere online that you KNOW that a specific style/size will fit him? Maybe order a couple of pairs, and have them shipped to you at your hotel?

Then, if you find a pair or two while you're out and about tomorrow, if you find some, you'll be golden, but if not, you have a backup.

Call your local Old Navy and see if they still have any of their stuff from last year on clearance. The Old Navys around me seem to keep stuff till it's gone, no matter how far out of season it is.

Call Kohl's/Penny's/Sears and see if they still carry them they used to--good luckanother place my sister finds a lot of new good things is GoodWill stores. She gets brand new with tags still on them.

We just got back from a WDW trip about two weeks ago.

Like you, just before our trip, I noticed that DS12 had outgrown all of his shorts from last summer. I went to JC Penney and found lightweight ZIP-OFF pants (size XL 18-20) and bought him 3 or 4 pairs. They were perfect for our Disney trip!! DS would start out wearing them as pants in the mornings, but by mid-afternoon he would unzip & take off the bottom parts. Worked great!! (For him anyway..but me, I was stuck carrying around the bottoms of his pants! )

If you do go to JC Penney...the pants are "Arizona Jean Company" (although they are not jeans). You might need the Large Size 16. They had plenty there when I bought them in early January.

* If you don't have J.C. Penney where you live....perhaps you could look in a store that sells "Arizona Jean Co." brand pants.

I like the zip of pants idea, even if they cost you a little more you would get a lot of mileage from them since he could wear them when you get back.

I was at Target the other day and there were a lot of sports shorts and some cargo shorts on clearance, granted it was the mens dept, I'm sure they have some similar clearance in the boys. Also, some of the cargo shorts were small sizes.

I second Target. I just saw shorts there in those sizes on Sunday. I also got my dds' bathing suits there. I had looked at other stores and didn't have success until Target. We're leaving Sunday for Disney!

I went to JC Penney on Friday. They had shorts and swimware ready for summer!

I don't know if it makes a difference because I am in Florida, but summer wear is out in full swing. We even have bathing suits out in the stores. I bet in some of the bigger chain stores you will be able to find shorts.

I saw some in Modell's (Sporting Goods) a couple of weeks ago, they were the basketball style shorts. Not sure of the exact price but, they were definately under $10.

Target has their shorts out. Hopefully they will have what you are looking for. Try looking at Target on line, then if you find an item you like, you should be able to tell if that item is available in your local store. Good luck. If not, shop when you get to where you are going.

All the stores here around me in Michigan have their summer stuff out. I just went and got dd a new swimsuit for our trip to Disney next week.

Well I'm in Kansas and I know since I work part time at K-Mart that they already have their summer stuff out, but I was also in JCPenneys last night and they too had their summer stuff out.

Shorts/swimsuits are just starting to appear in stores here...try Target or Old Navy.

Was at Old Navy last night and they had several different short choices in the sizes you need. Also saw some at Jc Penneys. Good Luck!!

I'm in Ohio and Old Navy has a bunch of shorts out. Just bought some for DS.

My son is a boys' 14 and I buy his shorts in a mens' size small (he likes them longer). The men's shorts are usually available all year long at Target, Kohl's, etc. in with workout clothing. Good luck!
