Hi,

We are leaving for Dis 4/26. I have 4 kids ages 6,5,3 and 7mo. I am wondering what to do for strollers. I have a double jog stroller, and also have a graco duoglider too. My 7mo. old is special needs (dev. delays, gtube etc, so she can not sit up yet, She is still in her infant car seat which I was going to bring along with the snap n go frame. Do you think I should just bring that and rent a double for the kids? Any ideas would be great! Thank you.

That's what I would do. The 3 older kids can take turns in the stroller or if they are small enough - they may all be able to fit in their also. I think that would be the easiest.

I have the sit'n'stand stroller and it is wonderful! yOur youngest can be snapped into the frame for the carrier and the back "seat" is for any of the other kids to sit, stand or kneel. my 5 year old loves riding on it when he gets tired. ANd it is easy for him to hop off and on. He always rode it even when his brother was in the carrier up front. THen when the time comes the carrier bar comes off and you have a reg. seat up front. Could you put your 7mth old in a backpack and then your 3 yr old in the front seat and the older ones could take turns riding on the back seat. I bought mine at babies r us for about $150. It was worth every penny! It even helps if we are someplace crowded. I have my older son hop on so i don't loose him in the shuffle. hope this helps! :)

I'd probably skip the infant seat. We have a major increase in plagiocephaly in the United States that is aggravated by extended car seat usage (amongst other factors). Car seats are just not ideal for longer stretches of time. Personally, I'd bring a different single or a double for the trip. I do love the idea of renting one for the older kids.

Just my 2 cents worth,
Jennifer

personally I'd bring a double and rent a double for the first day... see how much they really need to use the rented one... if they dont use it much or only one really uses it rent a single from then on. have a great trip!

I'd bring the infant seat w/the snap and go frame and rent a double. Your 3 older kids are right around the same ages as my 3 kids were when we went last. Mine were 2, 4, and 6. You can fit 3 kids in one rented double stroller. 2 on the bench seat w/their legs folder indian style and the third on the front of the stroller where the the legs usually go if they aren't folded up indian style. The other option I'd consider is bringing the double jogger and the infant seat w/frame and then the older kids could rotate sitting. Big money saver that way.

I'd bring your stroller/snap n go/ whatever you use for the baby and then rent a double for the older kiddos. If they can't all fit in the rental, they could probably take turns. We're leaving in a little over a week :cool1: and I'm bringing our stroller for DS (5 mos). We are going to start out with the older kids walking (they're 7 & 5) and will rent if we feel that they need it.

Thanks for the tips.. I am going to bring the snap and go and rent a double. Definately have to bring the infant seat, she sleeps in it (bad reflux), also it will just be easier to have in the restaurants etc...

<------added this pic to my avatar. 2, 4, and 6 yr old fit in the rented double stroller just fine. As you can see, cozy enough to fall asleep in! :rotfl2:
