on wait list for 50 pt. oct use year. #24 on list of 55. does not seem to be much of a chance this year. stayed in 1 bedroom at bwv, DW and DD love it. need more pts. my question to my dvc buddies is do i sell my 154 with 74 banked pts and buy a 200 pt resale or wait? email jaki and she said they could sell my and when a 200 pt bwv comes along, i could get it. i could be thrown out of my house i sell without having pts in our hand. at $80 a pt is $4000.00. i think it would be better to buy a reasle.
HELP!!!!!

P S my DD is a cast member and our guide said the only way we could get her 15% discount is to have her name on the deed. is this true?

thanks tom

I would keep the contract you have, as well as stay on the wait list for the 50 pts. You could also keep your eyes open for a resale add-on (large or small).
I know I havn't come up with any major revelations here, but keeping what you have and playing it by ear will give you the most options.

Your costs will be significant if you sell and buy another contract so I would vote against that. Are you looking for add ons through resale also. While the add ons resale may not be as good a deal as larger contracts, it should still be the same or cheaper than directly through DVC. Make sure DVC knows if you will accept less than 50 points, or a few more. Also consider buying a 150 pt contract either at BW or another resort.

The other suggestion was to buy add on at BCV and spend an occaisonaly trip there if you can't change over to BW at the 7 month window.

thanks. the timeshare store sales person, jerry sydow said to hold on to what we have and wait for an add on. i think that is the best bet.

thanks for your input!!!!!
